From the Pastor’s Desk – September 6, 2020

September is here. Fall is on the horizon and leaves are changing (hopefully). For this edition of The Tower, I have asked Carol Roland to write something about The Street Ministry and her call to do ministry. It is so important to share each other’s stories and hope. Hopefully, she will share more with us in the future. In sharing with each other, we are able to learn more, be encouraged, and be empowered to join in. I hope you find this as meaningful as I did. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I plan on continuing to reach out to you. Pawsbeh will be in contact with you as well. In this season of waiting, I am recalling these lyrics from the band The Gray Havens in their song “Storehouse”:

I’m over my head and lost

And the ground feels unstable and I can’t make this stop
But this I call, this I call to mind
How the Father runs to the wayward son
Comin’ back alive
So I’ll go, to the storehouse I’ll go

To the storehouse of mercy, I’ll go

Read the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32). God is with you. God is for you. God loves you!

Blessings,

Joy
