What We Believe
“Our only Creed is the Bible; our only doctrine is the teaching of Jesus.” We believe that the Bible is true center of Christian union and by it all human conduct, creeds and opinions are to be tried. Also, we believe that Jesus’s ultimate teaching was to love God with all of our Heart, with all of our Soul, with all of our Mind, and with all of our Strength; and to love our neighbor as our self.

When you visit us you will find people of varied beginnings who chose to be united together under the Lordship of Jesus Christ; learning to yield to the common truths of what we believe.
What We Do
Interested in participating in the Christian Education Hour? You have your choice of attending one of two adult Sunday School classes. Both classes seek to help the students apply the timeless truths of scripture to everyday living. There are also classes for children kindergarten through High School. There is childcare available at 9:15 am to accommodate those who have children too young for Sunday School class.
When We Worship
Worship begins at 10:30 am and kids ages 6 months though age 4 are invited to visit our child care. Once you are in worship you will be warmly greeted by our church community and be invited to sing songs both familiar and new. Since we take the reading of scripture seriously you will be invited to read portions of the Bible as part of the morning worship. Then, after some congregational singing and praying, the pastor will give a talk that is intended to both enlighten and motivate the hearers. The worship service will last about an hour and fifteen minutes.
About our Sunday Child Care
We believe providing child care is a part of having a positive experience for the parents and guardians of children while at church. Our child care is high quality, safe and fun space where parents can feel good about leaving their children on Sunday Morning. That is why we here at First Baptist Church Lincoln provide child care from 9:15 until the completion of morning worship. Child care is provided for children 6 months until 4 years old. When you bring your children to church they will be professionally cared for and above all loved as Jesus would love them.
Where We Are Located
Since we are located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, adjoining parking to the building at 14 and K Streets is limited so give yourself a little extra time to park. Dress is casual, but if you want to dress to the nines feel free.
