Holy Week is an opportunity to experience God in a meaningful way. It is a week marked by triumphal entry, celebration, curiosity, table fellowship, betrayal, pain, suffering, doubt, confusion, and ultimately, joy. It prepares us to experience the miracle of Christ’s resurrection that provides for us reconciliation, salvation, and liberation. This week you are encouraged to feel deeply (whatever that might be), question unashamedly, reflect, and hope without ceasing. All is swallowed up by the victory of the cross and the promise of all things being made new in Christ’s resurrection. But first, we must witness Cavalry together.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross,  disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.   Hebrews 12:1-2 (NRSV)
